scraparoni a huge hit

well scraphunger went off with a big bang, it was great but the one who stoll the show was scraparoni, he was a huge hit. we all took our photos with him and as him and we enjoyed doing it. yea scraparoni....now as i dont have the final tally on the amount collected as of yet i can say that we collected 1 3/4 more barrels than last year and they were heaped to the top more. as the parking lot filled with cars i felt overwhelmed with happieness. just to know that we are helping more this year i am so happy. the joy from that is far more than i can ever explain. and it is true as i am proof that you dont have to have alot to care for your fellow man. just have the passion to care and find the way to do so. well i will say goodbye for now and as soon as i get the tally i will let everyone know.   Dream a Dream for it may be the change inwhich all surrounds.....

update with a smile

hello world, 8 more days till scraphunger. ive just gotten 3 more donations oh its going to be a great function. i can see it now. all the hungry familys recieving what they need. i am so happy. i cant explain to everyone just how fantastic it makes me feel to know that we are helping others even though we dont have lots ourselves. its proof that to help others you dont have to have alot just the heart and true passion to want others to have it a little easier. and by all pulling toghather it can be acomplished. well i am having during the function a wheel o prize and to do this i needed a wheel and my hubby has made one that is just perfect. also there will be scraparoni, he will be there to stand behind and have your photo taken as. simular to those at the fair. so everyone can have a souviner photo and become scraparoni, that cute little scrapbooking, cardemaking, crafting noodle....well things are plugging right along, im gonna close for now and get some painting on the bannors done. ill write more as the time apporches. take care to all.  good-bye for now..

hello everyone

well, i finally have time to sit down and write. heres the run down of the days that seem to go bye so fast that they smear into each other, for fear once you blink the many hours have passed. and so it goes right? well as you all know a friend and myself went to a crop in lincoln city, i complained about the service there and the bed but what i didnt have time to really talk about was the crop itself. first let me say that the ladie whom not only ran the crop but also is the owner of stacys scrap shack did a WONDERFUL job. dispite the fact that she was very busy. it came off as a great crop. the make n take was very cute and usefull. the surroundings were calm. the ladies whom also attended were very nice and helpful if asked. you did not even have to leave your cropping to purchase something you needed as they would take the need and pick it up for you. now myself being a fellow crop hostess i must say it was worth the trip. THANK YOU STACY.  well i came home to not only the regular duties but a phone call from a friend that id went to school with, wow to think back all those years hahaha, anyways, she starts radiation treatments for bone cancer. horrible that nasty c word. cant there finally be a cure? so i went down and spent the weekend with her. with prayers and hope overseen with love these treatments will work. so tonight is bunco, so much fun the group of ladies are a blast. i have a yudu machine from cricut its a home screen printing machine ive made each ladie a shirt thats an peace sign which says peace love bunco with a flower very cute. anyways id better get off here and get 3 more done for tonight than the whole group has one. so this was a long rundown of the past week or two. till next time.wear a smile, love one another and send your prayers above for those in need. take care.

back from the crop

hello, hello everyone. well my friend and i went to the crop in lincoln city this past weekend and we had fun this was my friends first ever crop so she was unsure what to think. i meet some very nice ladies. and was able to speak with them about the condo crops i do and the scraphunger so with all the blessings i will see new faces at both. in my next blog i will tell everyone about my condo crops. oh they are lots of fun. i was lucky enough to get some cards done that was my goal. the time went to fast though. everyone runs their crops diffrent so my friend was unsure what to think. the main bummer about the time was the rudeness from the checkin and check out people. we will not be staying there again even if its conveinant its not worth the headache. and the beds are horribly hard. live and learn right? well all in all we had a great visit and got some things done. and the day was nice all day saterday thats a huge plus. well time for bed so gonna go goodnight everyone till the next time.....have a wonderful night...

                                                                    CHANGES
Changes in my life, from the grey in my hair to the wrinkle above my brow. today i was thinking theres so many changes now. from the streets where once laid gravel to the fields where the wild would roam, heavy is my heart to know that away is taken their home. I saw a child playing within a guarded fence, a mother watching closely her expressions very tense. all due to many changes not as safe as it use to be. this is all within my heart so truly sad to me. Out in front of a building stands a man whoms dripping wet, he reaches down into the trash to see what he can get, cause changes came he lost his job, his home his children his love. He now lays his head on a cardboard box and sends his prayers above. you now must look to your neighbor with heart and soul be true, reach out your hand and tell them through all these changes , i'll be here for you...

scraphunger

hey everyone, well ive been looking for ideals to help make the 5th scraphunger great as in finding those whom will run make n takes and any ideals for a fun day. so during my trip to lincoln city this past monday and tuesday i went to the scrapbook store which is called  Stacys Scrap Shack  located in the small mall by joanns and i believe safeway? going towards the casino. while there i talked about the up coming scraphunger in october. stacy offered her and her design team to come and bring some great ideals for make n takes. for those who have never been in her store let me tell you the walls are filled with artistic talent. i gracously excepted her offer and am so happy to let everyone know that we have something by her to look forward to. i am pluggin away at putting toghather a fun day and i am still looking for ideals along with 2 others for make n takes so anyone whom wants to have input please do so. well im off and running so ill say goodbye to all. have a wonderful day everyone..

scraphunger

well as you all may already know this is the 5th year for scraphunger and i am working on making it the best yet. i am in the process of looking for those talented ones whom would like to share thier talent by running a make n take table. throughout the day id like to have at least 4 make n takes. there will also be a table where those that are interested can make a card or how ever many they would like to send to the troops. i also support our local DHS lifestory program which by collecting scrapbooking items and pages throughout the day they are then given to the DHS office and they put toghather lifestory albums for the children in foster care. subway provides lunch. i am also looking at adding other things throughout the day, anyone with ideals they would like to share im all ears.....ive also tossed around the ideal of having chilcare for the parents that can only attend if they have some so at this point its a thought but it sounds like a good one so we will see. well anyways, i am looking forward to hearing from you all. the input and ideals will be great. im closing for now. hope everyone has a wonderful love filled day drenched within sunshined smiles.

To hold this wee one in our arms releasing a sigh of softness, As we calmly cradle the heavenly heartbeat ever so soft. We look into their eyes, as we give thanks our praise from above. Oh to know you my little one. To hold praise in your eyes. To stand proud for you i will. Oh how my heart sings for you each movement you make. The pinkness in your cheeks, the rumble tumble in a curl. I open my heart little one and all within is yours. I shall hold tight to you, which is precious in all to keep you safe. To empower you with serenity. I do love you, Little one......

collections

i went to an estate sale today as i looked around and listened to the buyers that filled the room i was filled with feelings that brought on the writing that follows....Collections, We have our collections throughout our lives starting with the many pages of artwork drawn for us by our little paccasos. To the never ending shelves filled with those nickknacks we couldnt turn away. As our lives move on, we collect. Collect for ourselves, Collect for our children. The piles grow. Suddenly out from what starts as a beautiful day, comes the darkness, the sadness, where we are no more, or left taken from our familiar surroundings therefore leaving all our collections. All those items we cherished so dearly to be dusted off and put on display for all to pick. Some items which are kept from the heart bare no price. Photos of childhood days cast in beautiful frames. Lacy coverings which draped the tables at a family meal.  Our home fills, one by one, people dredge through baring no mind to the heart in which each item has a string. As each item is removed from its place in hopes of purchase, there becomes an unsettling cloud of crudeness, as the bargain hunters become unhappy as to see a price in which is far to lowly marked already, they do not see this. Lower they say,Lower, as they move from room to room collecting in their arms each memory. Will they build their own? For this i hope. Moving last to the ending of the day, the rooms are bare. Each dream, each happieness in a new home. Appreciate my life i ask. Cherish each item, love it as i did, till your time. Its then dusted off and moved on to anothers Collection.....

my dream

ive started a program called scraphunger from the most vivid dream id ever had, following it i put toghather a 12 hour scrapbooking/crafting function to collect food to help those in need throughout our community and it worked, the 1st year we collected enough to feed 140 people, 2nd year 246, 3rd year 312 and in 2010 we exceded all the prior years at collecting 1,002.9 pounds. i am sooooo proud of this program it truly proves that anyone can help those in need by doing a little something. this year is the 5th year and im working on making it the best yet. my dream is to have others take the ideal and put it to work in their home towns with hope to battle hunger every where as i truly believe we can do it....my other true passion next to helping those in need is poetry. i have been published in a book of poems and have been asked to contribute to the best poets of 2010. what a wonderful way to express yourselfwith this being said id like to leave everyone with this writing, called reach out,  the unbearable deafing crys from those whom have not enough food for their little ones. you walk by, not venturing your eyes to the sight of those whom truly are in need. are you afraid? afraid as if to look deep would connect a link of unsurity, leaving you empty hearted not knowing what next to do. reach out your hand, extending the true touch, to help your fellow man. within our lifes we to are in need. do not be afraid, do not turn your backs on those whose crys are loud, to help may only require a smile, a simple nod of your head, a reassuring freshness of friendship. do not stand behind your fellow man, stand tall, stand beside.....
